Regina G. (Jean) Smith, 86, a resident of Elimsport, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Born in Duryea, Luzerne County, PA, on Wednesday, April 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Seitz) Pesotine.

She was the widow of Donald L. Smith, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1981.

Jean was a 1944 graduate of South Williamsport High School. She was a homemaker.

Jean loved her family and her New York Mets.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sheryn and Terry Burnette, Sodus, NY; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald L. and Debi Smith, Jr. , Montgomery, PA; Mark J. Smith, Elimsport, PA and one sister, Esther Domiano, Old Forge, PA. Jean is also survived by four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Jean was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted in the Elimsport Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 10, 2012 with D. Todd Baker, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Elimsport, officiating. The family will provide the flowers. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Northeastern PA District, 1704 Warren Avenue, Williamsport, PA 17701.
