Jean E. Lebeda

Jean E. Lebeda, 89, a resident of Oxford Street, Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Watsontown Health Care and Rehab at Watsontown, PA. Born in West Orange, Essex County, NJ, on Tuesday, May 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Bertha (Singer) Leadbeater.

She was very artistic and creative.  She did quilting, painting, sewing and gardening. Her home was always beautiful and orderly.  She loved animals and was an accomplished equestrian, competing in many horse shows in her youth, including some in Madison Square Garden.
Jean is survived by two children, Lois (Gerald) Chasko , Madison, OH; Kenneth (Bonnie) Lebeda, Muncy, PA; one brother, George Jameson, Ivy, SC; five grandchildren, A.J. Chasko; Ross Chasko; Clinton Chasko; Matthew Lebeda; Jonelle Holmes and her former husband, Dr. Joseph Lebeda.
Jean's family wishes to express gratitude to all her caring neighbors and friends in Belvidere, who brought her so much support and happiness in life.    At Jean's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Belvidere First Aid Squad and Fire Company. Please visit www.betzerfuneral.com to sign the guest book or send an e-condolence.
